Fall Dean’s List Recognizes Record Number

In recognition for their exceptional academic success in the fall 2019 semester, 1,199 University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business students achieved Dean’s List accolades. This collection of future leaders in business comprises the largest single-semester group of students commended by the college for this honor.

A total of 1,104 undergraduate students earned the Nebraska Business Dean’s List recognition, 298 of whom earned a 4.0 grade-point average. The list, released at the conclusion of both the fall and spring semesters, also features 95 graduate students.

“The Dean’s List showcases students who have proven their dedication and commitment to academic excellence this semester,” said Dr. Kathy Farrell, James Jr. and Susan Stuart Endowed Dean of the College of Business. “The Nebraska Business community is proud of their efforts as both future graduates and leaders.”

To be eligible for Dean’s List recognition, undergraduate students must earn a cumulative 3.6 GPA or higher and complete 12 or more graded credit hours for the semester. Students from all 10 majors in the college merited the honor.

Requirements for graduate students to receive the Dean’s List accolade include finishing the semester with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher and completing nine or more credits. Graduate students enrolled in the MBA@Nebraska and Flex MBA programs, Master of Arts in Business with a Specialization in Intercollegiate Athletics Administration (MAIAA), Master of Science in Actuarial Science, Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Science in Finance and Master of Professional Accounting may be eligible to receive the distinction.
