Prepare for Tomorrow’s Jobs with Legal and Business Knowledge
Many jobs require a familiarity with legal concepts but not a juris doctor degree. They include jobs in growing fields such as regulatory compliance, employment law, contracts and procurement, financial services and securities regulation and real estate development. Enhance your career objectives with the Law and Business Minor. You will be taught by College of Law faculty in this efficient four-course (12 credit hour) program open to both business and non-business majors. Combining your business knowledge with a minor in law and business makes you more marketable and provides connections to new job opportunities.
Coursework
All courses in the minor require a 3.25 cumulative GPA or higher and junior standing. The four courses in the minor can be taken in any order. The recommendation, however, is to take BLAW 375 and BLAW 376 first.
For each of the courses in the Law and Business minor there are two sections listed on MyRED, with both sections meeting at the same time and in the same room. One of these sections is open only to College of Business students, while the other section is open to all students.
