Reading Group
For graduate students, faculty, and community members starting in January. Theme: Land, Migration, Indigeneity. On behalf of the Center for Coalitional Praxis and Liberation, we are delighted to invite you to our first reading group, which will take place during the Spring 2025 semester. We will be discussing the book, Fresh Fruit, Broken Bodies: Migrant Farmworkers in the United States by Seth M. Holmes. If you're curious and would like to learn more, check out this interview with Seth discussing the book.
You can access the book electronically at no cost through the UNL Library. If you are a student and need a hard copy of the book, please let us know, and we will do our best to provide you with one.
We will meet at the Hub Cafe (250 N 21st St.), a charming, pleasant cafe near the Telegraph district of Lincoln with all-gender restrooms. Our meetings will be on the following dates from 3-4:30PM, with our conversations focusing on the listed chapters:
February 21st: Ch. 1-2
March 28th: Ch. 3-4
