The College of Engineering’s Graduate Student Advisory Board (GeSAB) is hosting the 6th annual Graduate Student Symposium on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Willa Cather Dining Complex (Red Cloud Suite & Pioneers Rooms), during Engineer's Week (E-Week) 2025.

Engineering graduate students will present session talks, compete in a 3-in-5 pitch competition, and conduct a research poster fair. To view the 2024 schedule and topics click on the 'Symposium Schedule' button above. Registration for the event will open in January 2025. Registrants for the symposium will receive a meal ticket at check-in for the Willa Cather Dining Hall.

Now accepted abstract submissions to participate in the 2025 Symposium. Submissions are due Friday, December 13 at 11:59 pm


Session Talks

A series of 15-minute presentations that share a commonality. These sessions are open to showcase research at all stages. Examples include: research ideas, review of a topic, proposals, and research results.

3-in-5 Pitch Competition

Participants will have 3 slides to promote their idea to a panel of judges in 5 minutes with no question and answer period. Judges will represent multiple disciplines.

Grand Prize is $500


Research Poster Session

Participants will present their research through various means. Judges will represent multiple disciplines.
