4-H Horse Show & Judging Guide Change Proposals

4-H members, parents, leaders, volunteers, and professionals are invited to provide feedback and propose changes for the Nebraska 4-H Horse Show & Judging Guide (4H373). Any proposals submitted must consider the affect changes would have on all youth in the Nebraska 4-H Horse Program. Submitting a proposal does not guarantee a change, addition, or deletion. Proposals will be reviewed by the Nebraska 4-H Horse Advisory rule book sub-committee before being presented at the annual Fall Nebraska 4-H Horse Advisory Committee Meeting.

Proposals are accepted year-round. However, the 4-H Horse Show & Judging Guide is updated every two years. To be considered for the next scheduled update, proposals must be received by August 1 of the year prior to the next scheduled update. Any proposals received after August 1 will be considered for the following scheduled update. For example, proposals submitted on August 2, 2022, or later will be considered for the 2025 update.

Scheduled updates and corresponding deadlines:

• 2025 update – proposal deadline: August 1, 2024
• 2027 update – proposal deadline: August 1, 2026
• 2029 update – proposal deadline: August 1, 2028
• 2031 update – proposal deadline: August 1, 2030
• 2033 update – proposal deadline: August 1, 2032
• 2035 update – proposal deadline: August 1, 2034
• 2037 update – proposal deadline: August 1, 2036
• 2039 update – proposal deadline: August 1, 2038
• 2041 update – proposal deadline: August 1, 2040
