4-H Shooting Sports Ambassadors

The Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassadors Program is dedicated to leadership development in Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports participants. The program aims to develop leaders today and for the future. Through an annual seminar, ambassadors learn life skills, practice public speaking, and develop quality leadership traits that can be applied to their 4-H project, student career, and beyond. Ambassadors assist in enhancing the Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Program for the betterment of all those involved in the program.

Applicants must be 14 years old as of January 1 in the year they apply. Applicants must be enrolled in a 4-H shooting sports project and must have been enrolled for at least one year prior to applying as an ambassador. Successful applicants will demonstrate interest or experience in leadership roles through their 4-H club, school, or community. All ambassadors are required to attend the annual training seminar and serve a two-year term.

The Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador Training is a three-day seminar held annually at various locations throughout Nebraska. The seminar focuses on leadership development including skills such as public speaking and 4-H program marketing as well as experiences in all six 4-H Shooting Sports disciplines. Selected individuals attend the seminar at no cost to the participant courtesy of the Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports program and our generous sponsors.
