Knox County 4-H Scholarship Information
- Norfolk Beef Expo Scholarship
- Larry E. Sitzman Scholarship (due November 10) - College students enrolled as full-time undergraduate or graduate students at a fully accredited Nebraska college, university or technical college in an agriculture related degree program are encouraged to apply for the Larry E. Sitzman Youth in Nebraska Agriculture Scholarship. The scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded to one deserving applicant each year.
- Engler Entrepreneurship Scholarships - (due January 15th) Students passionate about becoming an entrepreneur and learning how to pursue their purpose through entrepreneurship can now apply for scholarships to the Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the 2023-2024 academic year.
- Martha & Don Romeo Scholarship (due to Extension Office by November 30, 2023)
- Nebraska 4-H Foundation Scholarships (due January 5, 2024 via the Annual Achievement Application) for students planning to attend the University of Nebraska. Each scholarship has different qualifications.
- Teacher Scholars Academy Application for students who are majoring in teacher education and have applied and will begin studies at UNL.
- Nebraska Cattlemen Beef State Scholarship awards a $10,000 scholarship to an outstanding college junior, senior or graduate-level student. Eligible students must be residents of Nebraska and be enrolled in a Nebraska college or university pursuing a beef industry-related degree. The scholarship will be awarded based on student need, Nebraska beef industry involvement (past achievements and future plans) and academics. Numerous other scholarships with a $1,000 minimum, awarded on the basis of academic achievement, beef industry involvement and goals/quality of application from memorial funds.
- Knox County 4-H/FFA Ag Society Scholarship (due March 1, 2024) Two scholarships will be awarded to one FFA member and one 4-H member for $1000.00 each.
- Patefield-Green Memorial Scholarship - for seniors who reside in the Lewis & Clark NRD and intend to pursue an agricultural related career
- Galen Jueden Memorial Scholarship - for seniors who are in Cedar Knox Rural Water area
- Jarvis Memorial Scholarship for female born high school seniors and be a member of 4-H or FCCLA or FFA. The intent of the scholarship is to assist women who live 3 or more hours drive from Lincoln but wish to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Applicant must reside in Love Memorial Cooperative Residence Hall on East Campus.
- Knox County 4-H Council Scholarship (due March 31, 2024) Four scholarships will be awarded to 4-H members valued at $25 for each year of a member's 4-H enrollment with a maximum of $250.00.
- Farm Credit Services of America Land Grant University Scholarships or Community College Scholarships - multiple scholarships available to students studying agriculture.
- Food Science Scholarship Challenge - Join us for a day of Food Science on December 4, 2023, you could earn a $5000 scholarhsip. Application deadline October 31, 2023
- Animal Science: Inspiring Your Future Scholarship Competition - $5000 scholarship for student enrolled in animal science program at UNL, enter from November 1, 2023 through January 6, 2024
- CASNR Change Maker Competition - submit 2-minute video, on how you want to make a difference in the world, competition open Dec 1, 2023 until February 1, 2024 for chance to win $1000 CASNR Scholarship
- Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship - Each year, the STEM Scholarship Program awards $10,000 to 200 recipients studying engineering or computer science at a 4-year college or university. Recipients may renew the scholarship up to three times for a total potential value of $40,000 per student
- Inspiring Your Future Scholarship Contest - for those who plan to pursue an education and career in animal science
- Nebraska Independent Fabric Shops Scholarship - this scholarship is designed to help any high school senior or college student who share the love of sewing, to further their education in any field at a Nebraska Institute

Governor's Agricultural Excellence Award (must be submitted by March) The purpose of the Nebraska 4-H Foundation’s Governor’s Ag Excellence Awards, sponsored by the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA), is to recognize 4-H clubs for the work of the individuals in the club and the community service work of the entire club. Recognition is in the form of $500 checks issued to the club’s treasury to be used as described in the award application completed by the club.
Next Chapter Nebraska Event - a college-readiness program delivered through the Nebraska 4-H Program that helps 8th grade students prepare for and succeed in college by providing the skills students need to reach their academic goals.
