Youth for the Quality Care of Animals Training (YQCA) is required for all 4-H members showing BEEF, GOATS, POULTRY, RABBITS, SHEEP, OR SWINE at County and State Fair.
You will need to register for YQCA certification using the website! Please go to yqcaprogram.org and log in if you are a returning 4-H member or if a new 4-H family, set up your family account and add 4-H members.
2025 Instructor Led Training by Scotts Bluff County 4-H dates:
- April 15 6:00p.m. Panhandle Research Extension & Education Center
- June 12 TBA
You can train on-line for a cost of $12 at yqcaprogram.org. Call the Extension Office 308-632-1480 for coupon codes.
You can also test out if you are in the first year of Intermediate (age 12) and Senior (age 15) age levels.

Members must be Quality Assurance certified by July 1 this year to be eligible to compete at the County Fair.
Steps to download YQCA certificates:
- Log in to your YQCA family portal at yqcaprogram.org
- Click on your blue name button on the top right hand side of the web page.
- Click on Course Certificates
- Download your course certificates
- Email the downloaded certificates OR send a CLEAR picture to scotts-bluff-county@unl.edu.
