Temperature
Temperatures were above normal in southeastern portions of the region, and below normal in northwestern portions of the region. The highest temperatures were 12°F to 15°F above normal in northeastern Kansas and southeastern Nebraska. The lowest temperatures were 3°F to 6°F below normal in northcentral Wyoming.
Temperatures in southeastern South Dakota, southeastern Nebraska, central and eastern Kansas, and a small area in central western Colorado reached 9°F to 12°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 78°F in Topeka, Kansas, which is 9°F above normal for the area, and Pueblo, Colorado, which is 8°F above normal for the area. The lowest temperatures were 9°F to 12°F below normal in northcentral Wyoming.
Temperatures in central eastern North Dakota, central South Dakota, scattered parts across central Wyoming, and small scattered parts of central Colorado reached 0°F to 3°F below normal with a small area in Wyoming reaching 3°F to 6°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 31°F at Alamosa, Colorado, which is 6°F above normal for the area. The highest temperatures were greater than 15°F above normal in scattered areas in eastern Kansas.

Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in eastern Colorado, small spots in western and eastern Kansas, scattered parts of the Nebraskan panhandle, and southwestern South Dakota to 800 percent of normal in northwestern North Dakota and a small area in southcentral Colorado. Beartown, Colorado received 5.6 inches of precipitation; most of it fell on the 14th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions increased from 37 percent to 38 percent. In the region, Colorado experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 3 percent, and Kansas experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 6 percent.
