Temperature
Temperatures were above normal for the majority of the region. The highest temperature was 8°F to 10°F above normal in northeastern Wyoming and western Colorado, and a small area in western Colorado reaching temperatures greater than 10°F above normal. The lowest temperatures were 4°F to 6°F below normal in eastern North Dakota.
Temperatures in northwestern North Dakota, western South Dakota, northeastern Wyoming, and western Colorado reached greater than 10°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 72°F in Trinidad, Colorado, which is 6°F above normal for the area. The lowest temperature was 4°F to 6°F below normal in eastern North Dakota.
Temperatures in eastern North Dakota, western South Dakota, and the northwestern corner of the Nebraskan panhandle reached 4°F to 6°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 25°F at Alamosa, Colorado, which is 3°F above normal for the area. The highest temperatures were 8°F to 10°F above normal in eastern South Dakota, northern Wyoming, and western Colorado.

Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in northwestern Kansas, eastern and northwestern Colorado, across central and southeastern Wyoming, a majority of Nebraska and South Dakota, and northwestern and southcentral North Dakota, to 400 percent of normal in central Kansas and a small area in western Colorado. Arkansas City, Kansas received 3.37 inches of precipitation; most of it fell on the 24th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions decreased from 38 percent to 36 percent. In the region, North Dakota experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 5 percent, and Kansas experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 4 percent.
