Temperature
Temperatures were below normal in most of the southern portion of the region and above normal in the northern portion of the region. The highest temperatures were 8°F to 10°F above normal in northeastern North Dakota. The lowest temperatures were 6°F to 8°F below normal in northeastern Colorado and southcentral Kansas.
Temperatures in northwestern Wyoming reached 8°F to 10°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 62°F in Grand Junction, Colorado, which is 2°F above normal for the area. The lowest temperatures were 8°F to 10°F below normal across southern Kansas.
Temperatures in southwestern South Dakota and the northern part of the Nebraskan panhandle reached 8°F to 10°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 16°F at Alamosa, Colorado, which is 3°F below normal for the area. The highest temperatures were greater than 10°F above normal in northeastern North Dakota.

Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in western and southern Colorado, the panhandle and western Nebraska, central South Dakota, scattered parts of central and northern Wyoming, and northwestern North Dakota to 800 percent of normal in a small area in central North Dakota. Rossville, Kansas received 2.03 inches of precipitation; most of it fell on the 27th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions increased from 36 percent to 37 percent. In the region, Kansas experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 3 percent, and South Dakota experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 7 percent.
