Temperature
Temperatures across the region were above normal, except for two small areas in southern Colorado reaching temperatures 0°F to 4°F below normal. The highest temperatures were greater than 20°F above normal in northeastern South Dakota and southeastern North Dakota.
Temperatures in southeastern North Dakota and across eastern South Dakota reached 20°F to 25°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 87°F at Omaha, Nebraska, which is 14°F above normal for the area. The lowest temperatures were 0°F to 5°F below normal in southern Colorado and southwestern Wyoming.
Temperatures in a small area in southcentral Colorado reached 0°F to 4°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 42°F at Sheridan, Wyoming, which is 6°F above normal for the area. The highest temperatures were greater than 20°F in northeastern South Dakota and southeastern North Dakota.

Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in most of Kansas, southern and eastern Nebraska, central and eastern South Dakota, southeastern North Dakota, and scattered parts of central Colorado and Wyoming, to 800 percent of normal in northwestern Wyoming. Dubois, Wyoming received 2.55 inches of precipitation; most of it fell on the 5th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions decreased from 38 percent to 37 percent. In the region, Wyoming experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 5 percent, and North Dakota experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 5 percent.
