Temperature 

Temperatures were above normal for the region. The highest temperatures were in central Kansas, central and southern South Dakota, and western North Dakota reaching 16°F to 20°F above normal. Temperatures in central Colorado and western Wyoming reached 0°F to 4°F above normal. 

The highest temperatures were in central Kansas, and central and eastern South Dakota reaching temperatures greater than 20°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 73°F at Medicine Lodge, Kansas which is 20°F above normal for the area. Temperatures in western Wyoming reached 0°F to 4°F above normal. 

The coolest temperatures were in western Wyoming, and central and southwestern Colorado reaching 0°F to 5 below normal with areas in Wyoming reaching 5°F to 15°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 11°F at Leadville, Colorado which is 4°F above normal for the area. Temperatures in southwestern Wyoming and western North Dakota reached 15°F to 20°F above normal.

Precipitation 

A majority of the region experienced precipitation less than 5 percent of normal while southwestern North Dakota experienced 200 percent of normal precipitation. Pahaska, Wyoming received 0.38 inch of precipitation; most of it fell on the 25th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions increased from 77 percent to 79 percent. In the region, Colorado and Kansas experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 6 percent while Wyoming experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 2 percent.
