Self Service via TrueYou

Please do not blindly tell customers to use TrueYou Forgot Password!  TrueYou forgot password will only allow a self service password reset to an email already on file.  Please verify the customers identity on TrueYou to make sure the email is shown in either "Email" or "Other Email" fields. 

The NUID look up by Social Security Number gives them their NUID but then sends them to the forgot password function, so this method is incomplete to gain account access if they do not have access to the email on file.

If you can not verify the customer has a listed email then have them:
 

Reply with the information below:

• You can manage your password and two-factor devices (Duo) at https://trueyou.nebraska.edu/
  • If you have issues using TrueYou self service  please reply with:
    • Your date of birth
    • Your current full name
      • Previous full names (if any) 
    • Your NUID (if known) 
  • Setting up two-factor (required for all except Applicants):
    • Phone number for two-factor device
      • If switching numbers prior registered two-factor phone number 
    • Device type for two-factor (e.g Apple/iOS, Android) 
    • Do you have DUO mobile installed on your device?

UNMC Alumni Logging into MyRecords:

MyRecords accepts logins from UNMC or TrueYou authentication services (These authentication services have different Duo integrations for two-factor). We (NU ITS support@nebraska.edu) have access to help with the TrueYou service.  MyRecords menus and transcripts are controlled by UNMC (helpdesk@unmc.edu 402-559-7700). If you have issues other than TrueYou login please contact UNMC.

Prospective international students need to use the iGlobal service during admissions. At the point they need it first they will only have TrueYou credentials enabled.
