Promote your job or internship opportunity to students. You can advertsie on Handshake to make your posting availble across the campus and/or target students in the College of Jouranlism and Mass Communicatons by advertising in our weekly newsletter, The Career Bulletin.

Conveniently conduct interviews with CoJMC students right in Andersen Hall, making it easy to connect with talented candidates in a familiar and accessible environment. How can I post a job or internship opportunity for your students?

You have two options for posting job or internship opportunities for our students:

  1. Handshake: Handshake is our online career services platform where you can post job and internship listings. Simply create an employer account on Handshake, complete your profile, and submit your opportunities. This platform allows you to reach a wide audience of students who are actively seeking employment.
  2. Career Bulletin: You can also feature your job or internship opportunity in our weekly Career Bulletin newsletter. This newsletter is distributed to all students in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. To include your posting, submit the details to our career services team here

By utilizing these platforms, you can effectively promote your positions and connect with our talented students.

How do I schedule on-campus interviews or recruitment events?

To schedule on-campus interviews or recruitment events, please contact our Career Development Specialist, Natalie Becerra, at natalie@unl.edu. Natalie will assist you in coordinating the details and ensuring that your event is successful. We look forward to helping you connect with our talented students.

What are the deadlines for posting internships or jobs?

There are no specific deadlines for posting jobs or internships. However, we recommend posting your opportunities for at least four weeks to ensure maximum exposure and engagement from our students. This timeframe allows students ample opportunity to see and apply for your positions, increasing your chances of finding the best candidates.

Can I host an informational session or workshop for students?

While we do not offer the option to host workshops, you can set up an informational booth in our lobby. This allows you to engage directly with students, share information about your organization, and promote your available positions. To arrange a booth, please contact our Career Development Specialist, Natalie Becerra, at natalie@unl.edu. She will assist you with the scheduling and logistics to ensure a successful event.

While we cannot screen candidates for you, we offer a variety of resources to help you connect with our talented students. You can post job and internship opportunities through our Handshake platform, include your listings in our weekly Career Bulletin newsletter, participate in on-campus career fairs, or host an informational booth in our lobby. These avenues allow you to engage directly with students and promote your positions effectively. Our goal is to provide you with the tools and opportunities to find the best candidates for your organization.
