Who We Are
Buoy is a student-run communications agency and part of the Experience Lab Practicum at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. This unique learning model offers real-world experiences to students enrolled in UNL's College of Journalism and Mass Communication. The program is designed to be mutually beneficial for students and clients.
What We Do
Students enrolled in Buoy gain valuable experience by providing accessible, affordable, and professional work for nonprofit organizations in the area. They apply concepts learned in the classroom to real-world projects. Professionals in Residents, who are experts in specialized fields, work with the students and provide helpful coaching to them. Buoy assists nonprofits with a variety of multimedia and social media content and help clients with strategy, branding, design and other aspects of strategic communication.
