Guest Parking Permit

Guest parking permits are available for visitors to the College of Journalism and Mass Communications who speak in a class or are attending small group meetings.

Guest parking permits will only be issued to qualifying individuals who are visiting the college for allowable purposes.

Permits will not be issued to the following categories of individuals for any reason except employment interviews:
  • University of Nebraska students - any students, at any level, enrolled on any of the four campuses
  • University of Nebraska employees - anyone employed in any capacity at any FTE, including temporary and on-call workers
  • Vendors doing business with, working or attending school at the University of Nebraska 
Permits can be issued for the following reasons as long as the participants aren't prohibited above: 
  • guest speakers
  • unexpected guests who drop-in
  • small group meetings, four or less
  • employment interviews
Permits cannot be issued for:
  • meetings, group of five or more
  • seminars
  • conferences
  • workshops
To obtain a guest parking permit, faculty and staff must either:
  • meetings, group of five or more
  • Submit a request in advance through a new online guest parking permit form below OR
Guests

When obtaining a guest parking permit in 147 Andersen Hall, guests will now be required to complete a form affirming they meet all criteria for a guest parking permit before the permit will be issued.

If you have a guest that does not meet the guest parking permit criteria, other permit options may be available through UNL Parking Services.

Public parking is also available at street meters near Andersen Hall, in UNL Parking garages (17th & R St, 14th & Avery, Stadium Drive) and city garages (13th & Q or 101 N 14th).

If you are hosting a larger meeting, event, seminar or workshop and need parking for your guests, the college may be able to purchase event permits for you with advance notice. Please contact Tiffany Groteluschen or Nicole Blackstock to discuss event permits.

Faculty and Staff can reserve rooms in Andersen hall using the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Reservations and Events system.

Building Maintenance Request 

The college can submit maintenance requests for a wide variety of issues you notice in the building. We rely on our faculty and staff to report issues they observe to ensure our college is well-maintained. If you notice anything - from a dinged wall, to a broken clock, to a stained ceiling tile - please complete the form below as soon as you can.
