Stephanie Shipp is an accomplished Data Analytics Manager at Bloomberg Industry Group, where she has been driving the analytics function for the Bloomberg DC Newsroom since 2021. With a deep passion for data-driven decision-making, Stephanie has introduced machine learning strategies to streamline news content analysis, ensuring the newsroom remains competitive by identifying high-value readership topics. Her efforts in automating standard reports have significantly boosted productivity for both Analytics and Editorial teams, while her initiatives in SEO, headline testing, and marketing optimizations have led to increased subscription leads.

Before joining Bloomberg, Stephanie made significant contributions as a Web Analyst at Verisign. From 2018 to 2021, she developed and presented detailed reports to stakeholders, including executive leadership, and created a natural language model in Python to analyze domain name search entries. Her innovative approach included introducing propensity scoring through a random forest model, which enhanced the marketing team’s ability to optimize campaigns and improve ROI.

Stephanie's career in data analytics and marketing intelligence began at Wunderman (WPP), where she served as a Senior Analyst from 2016 to 2018. She managed vendor relationships, trained new hires, and provided critical insights for the Pfizer XELJANZ RA account using Adobe Analytics and Tableau. Her strategic efforts contributed to successfully launching new medical indications and optimizing digital assets for better performance.

In the political arena, Stephanie played a pivotal role as a Strategic Analyst for the 2016 Presidential Campaign at BrabenderCox. Her analysis and strategic suggestions informed campaign plans, and she utilized various analytics tools to optimize media buys and enhance client reporting.

Stephanie is also committed to education, having served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she redesigned and taught an online graduate-level digital analytics course. Her academic background includes multiple master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Integrated Media Communications and Philosophy, as well as a master’s degree from the University of Glasgow.

Her expertise spans a wide array of analytics tools and techniques, including Adobe Analytics, SPSS, Tableau, SQL, Google Analytics, and machine learning, making her a versatile and invaluable asset in any data-driven environment. In Q3 2019, Stephanie received the Above and Beyond Award from Verisign for her outstanding work.

Stephanie’s dedication to data analytics and her innovative approach to problem-solving continue to make a significant impact in the fields of media, marketing, and beyond.
