Additional Borrowing Types

Authorized User (Researchers, Lecturers and Academic Guests)

Authorized Users of Libraries resources are those individuals recognized by UNL as directly involved in its educational activities

  • All currently enrolled students and UNL faculty and staff on paid appointments are authorized users and may access resources both onsite and off campus.
  • Faculty, staff, and students visiting UNL but not formally appointed at UNL, and who are affiliated with other universities or colleges, their home institution libraries should be their primary source for research materials; as a secondary source, walk-in onsite access is allowed in the UNL Libraries.
  • In certain situations, other people might be found to clearly fit the definition of an authorized user—someone acknowledged by UNL as actively participating in its educational activities.
