Political Science Experimental Participant Pool

Welcome to PSEPP, a sample recruitment tool for political science research that is sponsored by the department. The pool has been operating since Fall 2008 with almost five thousand participants and more than 120 studies conducted.

This is an excellent resource for collecting data, especially when conducting experimental research or laboratory studies, pilot testing a survey, or replicating work conducted with other samples.

Purpose

  • Students learn about the research process
  • Faculty and graduate students are enabled to conduct research

Spring 2024 Due Dates

  • February 9 (11:59 p.m.): Activate/update your Sona account (required for A or C)
  • February 23 (11:59 p.m.): Participate in PSEPP Prescreening Survey (recommended for A or C)
  • May 3 (11:59 p.m.): Complete research credits (required for A, B, and C)

Availability

  • Participants are enrolled in PSEPP at the start of fall and spring semesters.
  • At the start of fall and spring semesters, we administer a prescreening survey.
  • Researchers can use PSEPP to recruit participants for laboratory and online studies throughout the semester.
