Invasive Species of the Month: Common Reed

Common reed (Phragmites australis) is a perennial grass that grows up to 15 feet tall found along waterways. It grows in dense thickets, displacing native wetland plants, blocking waterflow, and limiting sunlight for aquatic communities.
